Women’s Basketball Upended at MIT
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team dropped an 85-57 decision at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Saturday.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT sported a 27-13 advantage at the conclusion of the first quarter.
- The Engineers widened the gap to 48-29 at the half after outscoring the Lions 21-16 in the second frame.
- The visitors posted a 19-15 edge in third-period scoring to narrow the margin to 63-48.
- MIT chalked up 22 points in the fourth quarter while limiting Eastern Nazarene to nine points en route to collecting its fourth all-time win over the Lions.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) poured in a team-best 12 points to go with four boards and four steals.
- Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.) scored 10 points off the bench.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) and Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) both netted eight points on the afternoon.
- Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) finished with seven points and six rebounds.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 40.4% from the floor and sank 5-of-18 from beyond the arc.
- MIT posted a field-goal percentage of 45.3% to go with 30.4% shooting from three-point territory.
- Kamsi Nwogu poured in a game-high 20 points to lead the Engineers while Angie Choi registered 18 points.
