Women’s Basketball Defeats Wentworth, 78-68
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team collected a 78-68 victory over Wentworth Wednesday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene held a 12-9 edge after the first quarter of action.
- Wentworth shot 62.5% from the field and drained 4-of-6 from three-point range in the second period to outscore the Lions 26-12 in the quarter and own a 35-24 advantage at the break.
- The hosts cut the deficit to 42-41 with 4:41 remaining in the third as Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) splashed her first trey of the game.
- The visitors responded with a 6-0 spurt to claim a 48-41 lead with 2:11 left to play in the third frame.
- A three-pointer by Amanda Brooks (St. Louis, Mo.) with 29 seconds on the clock and a buzzer-beating layup by Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) gave Eastern Nazarene a 51-50 edge heading into the fourth quarter.
- The two teams traded buckets in the final frame before the Lions rattled off 10-unanswered points in the final two minutes to earn their second-consecutive win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Lions.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists to go with seven rebounds and seven steals.
- Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) registered a double-double off the bench, netting 12 points and hauling in 16 rebounds.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) and Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) both finished with 11 points on the night.
- Eastern Nazarene finished with a field-goal percentage of 41.7% to go with a 33.3% performance from beyond the arc.
- Wentworth shot 41% from the floor and connected on 7-of-18 three-point attempts in the contest.
- Maddy Foster paced the Leopards with 18 points while Gabby Amoddio recorded 16 points. Nattaly David, Abriana Busbey, and Brooke Carlson all chipped in with 10 points.

Eastern Nazarene is back in action December 15 to host Maine-Augusta.
