Jimenez Notches Triple-Double as Women’s Hoops Downs Nichols, 96-71
QUINCY, Mass.- Senior Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) posted a triple-double to lead the Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team to a 96-71 victory over Nichols Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene owned a 23-20 edge after the first quarter.
- The Lions widened the margin to 44-38 through two periods of play.
- The home side started the third frame with treys by Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) and Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) to claim a 12-point advantage, 50-38.
- Eastern Nazarene outscored Nichols 23-15 in the third to sport a 67-53 lead heading into the final quarter.
- The Lions extended the gap to 28 points, their largest lead of the game, with 1:03 left to play in regulation on a steal and layup by Kathy Hernandez (Cranston, R.I.).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) registered 23 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds to record the program's first triple-double since 2020. She is one of just 11 players in NCAA Division III to accomplish the statistical feat this season.
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) poured in 19 points and added five assists.
- Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) finished with a career-high 18 points while grabbing seven boards.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) netted 12 points while Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) chipped in with eight points and 11 rebounds.
- Eastern Nazarene posted a field-goal percentage of 52.8% to go with 8-of-24 shooting from behind the arc.
- Nichols shot 39.2% from the floor and 21.9% from three-point range on the afternoon.
- Abrianna Vazquez scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Bison while Leandra Ortiz contributed with 13 points.
