Women’s Basketball Falls at Norwich in Hockenbury Classic, 67-56
NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team dropped a 67-56 decision at Norwich Friday evening in the opening game of the Hockenbury Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Norwich raced out to a 21-8 advantage after one quarter of action.
- The Cadets chalked up 10 unanswered points to widen the margin to 31-8 in the second frame.
- The hosts boasted a 37-21 lead at the halftime break.
- Eastern Nazarene outscored Norwich 19-15 in the third period but the Cadets maintained a double-digit advantage heading into the fourth, 52-40.
- The Lions trimmed the deficit to 65-56 with 2:10 remaining in the fourth quarter on a layup by Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) paced Eastern Nazarene with 15 points to go with three steals.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) posted her second double-double of the year, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals and four assists.
- Amanda Brooks (St. Louis, Mo.) chipped in with nine points off the bench and Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) notched eight points and five boards.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 37.7% from the floor and connected on 8-of-31 from behind the arc on the night.
- Norwich concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 43.8% while shooting 29.6% from three-point range.
- Haley Brewster and Maren McGinn led the Cadets with 18 points each and Brittany Graham tallied 17 points.

Eastern Nazarene will face Westfield State in the Hockenbury Classic consolation game December 3.
