Women’s Basketball Captures First Victory, Prevails at Curry 78-68
MILTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team broke into the win-column with a 78-68 victory at Curry Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene held a narrow 26-25 edge after the opening 10 minutes of play.
- The Lions outscored the Colonels 15-14 in the second period to sport a 41-39 lead at the halftime break.
- The visitors widened the margin to 59-54 through three quarters.
- Eastern Nazarene stretched its advantage to 70-60 with 5:27 remaining in the final frame on a layup by Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho).
- The Lions grabbed their largest lead of the contest with 1:25 left to play in the fourth, 78-64, as Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) canned a three-pointer.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) netted a team-high 18 points to go with eight steals.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) tallied a season-high 17 points on the night.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 12 rebounds, six steals, five assists, and two blocks.
- Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) finished with 13 points and six boards.
- Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) registered 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 46.4% from the floor and sank 12-of-25 three-point attempts.
- Curry finished the game with a field-goal percentage of 33.8% to go with a 28.1% clip from downtown.
