Women’s Basketball Drops Season-Opener to St. Joseph’s (Maine)
WENHAM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team suffered an 86-58 setback to St. Joseph's (Maine) at the Gordon Tip-Off Tournament Friday in the first game of the 2022-23 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- St. Joseph's held a 21-14 lead after 10 minutes of action.
- The Monks outscored the Lions 14-5 in the second quarter to boast a 35-19 advantage at the half.
- St. Joseph's widened the gap to 64-36 after owning a 29-17 edge in third-quarter scoring.
- Both squads tallied 22 points in the fourth frame as the Monks collected an 86-58 win.

- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) netted a team-best 15 points to go with six assists and four steals.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) poured in 11 points in her first game in an Eastern Nazarene jersey.
