MIDDLEBURY, Vt.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team absorbed a 98-58 loss at Middlebury Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
The Lions move to 6-3 on the season with the result while the Panthers improve to 4-2 overall.
Sophia Torres (Fort Mohave, Ariz.) poured in a team-high 16 points. Sydni Oviatt (Fruit Heights, Utah) posted her second-straight double-double and third on the campaign with 15 points and 10 boards. Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) netted nine points off the bench.
The home side outscored the visitors 21-14 in the first quarter and sported a 52-30 advantage at the half.
Middlebury extended its lead to 79-49 through three periods of play and owned a 19-9 edge in fourth-quarter scoring to cement their fourth victory of the season.
Eastern Nazarene finished with a field-goal percentage of 33.8% while connecting on 33.3% of its three-point attempts. The Panthers shot 64.2% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond the arc on the night.
Looking ahead, the Lions will host Maine-Fort Kent December 3.
