Women’s Basketball Set to Battle Salve Regina in CCC Quarterfinal
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene women’s basketball team earned the #6 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament for the second-consecutive season and will travel to the Ocean State to square off against third-seeded Salve Regina in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

The Lions finished the 2012-13 regular-season with an 11-14 overall record and a 6-12 mark in the league. The Seahawks are 15-10 on the year and posted a 12-6 record in conference play.
Eastern Nazarene dropped a pair of decisions to Salve Regina earlier this season. The Lions suffered a 76-53 loss at home to the Seahawks January 8 and a 62-53 setback on the road January 31.
Senior Shardae Brown (Waterbury, Conn.) paces Eastern Nazarene with 9.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. Junior Presley Neufeld (Seattle, Wash.) ranks second on the team with 9.3 points per game while senior Mel Green (Annapolis, Md.) is averaging 9.0 points per contest. Senior Ace Carradine (Honolulu, Hawaii) and junior Abbie Tonello (Bourne, Mass.) round out the Lions' top-five scorers with 8.2 and 8.0 points per game, respectively.
Collectively, Eastern Nazarene ranks fifth in the conference with 56.2 points per game. Salve Regina is third in the league with 61.7 points per contest this season.
Tonello leads the conference in field-goal efficiency as she has drained 49.1% of her shot attempts on the year. Neufeld ranks fifth in the league in three-point field-goal percentage after connecting on 33.1% from beyond the arc.
Last season, Eastern Nazarene fell 66-50 at third-seeded Western New England in the quarterfinals while Salve Regina captured the CCC Tournament title as the second-seeded team.
