Kenny Sorensen Garners NECC Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Senior Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team nabbed his third New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week nod of the season, the league office announced Monday.
Sorensen powered the Lions to a pair of victories on the week to close out the regular season.
He registered a double-double to lead Eastern Nazarene to a 3-0 win at Dean, racking up 16 kills and 14 digs.
Sorensen notched his ninth double-double on the year with 13 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 victory over Lesley on Senior Night while also dealing a season-best five aces.
Sorensen paces the league with 227 digs on the season and ranks second in the conference with 349 kills.
The Lions finished the regular season with a 14-11 overall record to go with a 7-5 mark in NECC play. Eastern Nazarene reached the NECC Tournament for the second-consecutive season and will travel to Elms April 12 for a semifinal showdown.
