Kenny Sorensen Tabbed NECC Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- For the second time this season, senior Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week.
He grabbed his third career Player of the Week accolade after posting a pair of double-doubles in a 1-1 week for the Lions.
In Eastern Nazarene's 3-2 loss to Dean, Sorensen registered 19 kill and 19 digs.
He capped off the week with 30 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 victory over Newbury. Sorensen's 30 kills matched the four-set single-match high while he set a new four-set single-match high with 67 attempts in the win.
Sorensen ranks third in NCAA Division III with 4.39 kills per set and second with 12.52 attacks per set this season.
Eastern Nazarene owns a 9-9 overall record with a 4-3 mark in conference play this season. The Lions return to action March 21 with a home contest against Endicott.
