Men’s Soccer Battles New England College in NECC Championship Sunday
QUINCY, Mass.- The top-seeded Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team faces New England College in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament finals Sunday in search of its second-straight NECC crown.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene sports 13-6-1 overall record entering the match and posted a 5-0-1 mark in league competition to clinch the NECC regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed in the NECC Tournament. The Pilgrims are 8-6-2 on the year heading into the contest and earned the No. 2 seed with a 3-2-1 league record.
The Lions stormed past Lesley 5-0 in the NECC semifinals while the Pilgrims picked up a 4-1 victory over Mitchell.
POSTSEASON HISTORY:
The Lions are making their third-straight trip to the NECC Tournament and 11th all-time postseason appearance.
ENC vs. NEC – ALL-TIME SERIES:
Eastern Nazarene and New England College have meet 38 times on the pitch with the Lions owning a 15-19-4 all-time record versus the Pilgrims. Eastern Nazarene prevailed in both regular-season matchups against New England College this fall.
TITLE DEFENSE:
The Lions captured the program's first-ever NECC championship in 2019 en route to making their NCAA Tournament debut. Eastern Nazarene topped Lesley 3-1 in the 2019 NECC title match.
POSTSEASON ACCOLADES:
Junior Bryan Vargas (San Jose, Costa Rica) was named the NECC Co-Player of the Year while Tyler Ferreira (Berkley, Mass.) grabbed NECC Goalkeeper of the Year honors. Along with Ferreira and Vargas, Michael Frotscher (Tramin, Italy) and Manuel Vibot (Valladolid, Spain) garnered All-NECC nods. Senior Brock Pease (Marshfield, Mass.) was selected to the NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team.
