Men’s Soccer Hosts Lesley in NECC Semifinal Showdown Wednesday
QUINCY, Mass.- The top-seeded Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team squares off against No. 4 seed Lesley in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament semifinals Wednesday evening.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene posted a 12-6-1 overall record with a 5-0-1 mark in league competition to clinch the NECC regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed in the NECC Tournament. The Lynx finished the regular season with an 0-16-1 record and an 0-5-1 mark in conference play to grab the No. 4 seed.
POSTSEASON HISTORY:
The Lions are making their third-straight trip to the NECC Tournament and 11th all-time postseason appearance.
ENC vs. LESLEY – ALL-TIME SERIES:
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 10-4-0 all-time record versus Lesley. The Lions prevailed in both regular-season matchups against the Lynx this fall.
TITLE DEFENSE:
The Lions captured the program's first-ever NECC championship in 2019 en route to making their NCAA Tournament debut. Eastern Nazarene topped Lesley 3-1 in the 2019 NECC title match.
STAT LEADERS:
Junior Bryan Vargas (San Jose, Costa Rica) paces the conference with 19 points and leads the league with eight goals. Sophomore Leonardo Castro (Katy, Texas) has dished out a conference-best seven assists this fall. Goalkeepers Tyler Ferreira (Berkley, Mass.) and Antonio Soto Valente (Maracaibo, Venezuela) own the top two goals-against averages in the league. Ferreira sports a 0.96 goals-against average on the year while Soto Valente ranks second with a 1.07.
