CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team posted its fourth-straight conference win Wednesday evening, prevailing 3-2 at Lesley.
The Lions improve to 11-6-0 on the season and 4-0-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the victory. The Lynx slide to 0-15-1 overall and 0-4-1 in league action with the result.
The visitors benefitted from an own goal in the 16th minute to snag a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene doubled its advantage to 2-0 in the 37th minute. Michael Frotscher (Tramin, Italy) netted his third goal of the season off of an assist from Kirby Georgeon (Brockton, Mass.).
The Lions managed six shots in the opening half while limiting the Lynx to three attempts.
Lesley got on the board in the 58th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1 as Daniel Monteserin bagged his second marker of the year.
The home side knotted the match at 2-2 with a strike in the 66th minute. Monteserin collected his third tally of the campaign and second of the contest as Barry Mamadou provided the assist.
Eastern Nazarene regained a one-goal edge in the 84th minute. Guillermo Garcia (Leon, Spain) buried his third goal of the year while Bryan Vargas (San Jose, Costa Rica) picked up his third assist.
The Lions finished the game with 14 shots while the Lynx managed seven attempts.
Senior Tyler Ferreira (Berkley, Mass.) recorded one save in his seventh start of the season.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will travel to Mitchell October 28.
