QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team edged Becker 1-0 Friday night at Creedon Field.
The Lions climb to 3-7-1 on the season and 2-0-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the win. The Hawks fall to 2-9-0 overall and 1-3-0 in league competition with the result.
The home team snagged an early 1-0 edge with a strike in the ninth minute. Connor Hudson-Bryant (Weymouth, Mass.) drilled a direct free kick from just outside the box to bag his second goal of the season.
Eastern Nazarene owned a commanding 14-2 advantage in first half shots while earning eight corners and conceding two.
The Lions kept Becker off the scoreboard in the second stanza to lock up their second conference victory of the fall.
The hosts finished with 24 shots and 10 corner kicks earned on the evening. The visitors managed six shots in the contest and three corner kicks.
Rookie Florian Resch (St. Stefan, Austria) registered three saves to collect his second clean sheet of the season.
