Hansen Earns CCC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Accolades
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After a two-goal effort in the Eastern Nazarene men’s soccer team’s 2-1 victory over Gordon on Homecoming, sophomore Scott Hansen (Middletown Spring, Vt.) has been tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Hansen tallied the opening goal of the match in the 17th minute, finishing a feed from William Campbell (Anchorage, Alaska). The score gave the Lions a 1-0 edge over rival Gordon in front of a Homecoming crowd Saturday afternoon.
The sophomore striker potted his second marker of the game in the 62nd minute to break a 1-1 tie. Hansen redirected a shot by Luis Lopez (Alexandria, Va.) past the Fighting Scots' goalkeeper to lift the home team to a 2-1 advantage.
Hansen is tied for the team-lead with five goals while his 11 points are good for third on the squad.
Eastern Nazarene sports a 6-8-2 overall record with a 2-5-1 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Lions are currently tied for eighth in the league standings with the University of New England.
The Lions and Nor'easters will square off in a pivotal contest October 23 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in the final regular-season game.
