Men’s Lacrosse Drops Regular Season Finale to New England College, 16-7
NORTH QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team endured a 16-7 loss to New England College Wednesday evening at Creedon Field in the final regular season contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- New England College held a narrow 4-3 edge after the first quarter of action.
- The Pilgrims outscored the Lions 4-2 in the second period to sport an 8-5 advantage at the halftime break.
- The visitors tallied three goals in the third quarter while the home side managed one goal as New England College controlled an 11-6 lead.
- New England College produced five goals in the fourth frame and limited Eastern Nazarene to one goal en route to earning its fourth straight league victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jamar Griggs (Stamford, Conn.) notched three goals to lead Eastern Nazarene.
- Matt Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) finished with a pair of tallies and a team-high seven ground balls.
- Andrew James (Hyannis, Mass.) dished out a career-high three assists to go with two ground balls.
- Devano Clarke (Lucea, Jamaica) posted two assists while Funmbi Akinsanya (Baltimore, Md.) and Clevince Bogle (Lowell, Mass.) each netted one goal.
- Between the pipes, Walter Stockwell (Hyde Park, Mass.) collected 26 saves.
- Eastern Nazarene concluded the contest with 18 shots while New England College generated 66 shot attempts on the night.
- Devon Saeger paced the Pilgrims with five goals while Matt Daley registered four goals and three assists. Thomas Norton chipped in with four goals and Thomas Doe recorded four assists and one goal.
