Men’s Hoops Drops Double OT Decision to LaGrange, 91-87, at Naples Shootout
NAPLES, Fla.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team suffered a 91-87 double-overtime loss to LaGrange in the opening matchup of the Naples Shootout Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene strung together an 11-0 run to seize a 21-14 lead with 7:01 remaining in the first half.
- LaGrange closed out the opening frame with a 14-3 run to hold a 28-24 halftime advantage.
- Free throws by JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio), Corey McGhee (Alexandria, Va.), and Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas) gave the Lions a 64-60 edge with 2:22 left to play in regulation.
- The Panthers pulled even at 66-66 on a layup by Zac Hill with 21 seconds on the clock.
- Both squads missed a three-point shot in the final seconds of regulation, sending the contest to overtime.
- Nick Manso (Brick, N.J.) drilled a pair of free throws to push Eastern Nazarene's lead to 77-69 with 1:42 to go in the first overtime period.
- LaGrange outscored Eastern Nazarene 8-1 in the final 1:31, leveling the score at 78-78 with 24 seconds remaining in overtime.
- In the second overtime frame, the Panthers claimed an 88-82 edge with 1:10 left to play on a pair of free throws by Bershard Edwards which capped off a string of nine-consecutive points by the senior.
- The Lions cut the deficit to two with 12 seconds remaining, 88-86, as Nick Manso (Brick, N.J.) splashed two shots from the charity stripe.
- LaGrange sank 3-of-4 free throw attempts in the final seven seconds to lock up a four-point victory in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) registered his third double-double of the season, scoring a team-high 27 points and grabbing 10 boards.
- Nick Manso (Brick, N.J.) poured in 20 points off the bench and added five rebounds.
- Corey McGhee (Alexandria, Va.) tallied 13 points, nine boards, and six steals on the day.
- JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) also netted 13 points while Levi White (Springfield, Mass.) chipped in with 10 points.
- Eastern Nazarene concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 33.3% while connecting on 6-of-28 from behind the arc.
- LaGrange shot 38.8% from the floor and was limited to just 16.7% shooting from three-point range.
- Zac Hill paced the Panthers with a game-best 28 points while Bershard Edwards recorded 22 points and Gabe Cofield scored 15 points.
