Men’s Basketball Edged by Gordon on Buzzer-Beater, 91-89
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team fell to Gordon 91-89 on a last-second bucket Thursday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center in the 137th all-time matchup between the two squads.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene claimed a 20-point advantage with 8:41 left to play in the first half as Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas) splashed a trey.
- The Lions carried a 47-27 lead into the intermission.
- Gordon started the second stanza with 13 unanswered points to cut the deficit to 47-40.
- The Fighting Scots pulled even at 59-59 with 11:14 remaining on a layup by Michael Makiej.
- The home side seized an 86-84 edge with 1:06 on the clock as JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) canned a corner three-pointer.
- Gordon responded with a basket by Caleb Scott to knot the contest at 86-86 with 50 seconds left to play in regulation.
- Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) completed a three-point play with a layup and free throw to push Eastern Nazarene ahead 89-86 with 25 seconds to go.
- The Fighting Scots evened the score at 89-89 with 15 seconds remaining on a deep trey by Bryce Smith.
- Makiej delivered the game-winning bucket for Gordon with a last-second tip-in to give the Fighting Scots a two-point victory.

- Nick Manso (Brick, N.J.) poured in a team-high 22 points off the bench.
- Levi White (Springfield, Mass.) notched 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists on the night.
- Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) chipped in with 14 points and three boards.
- JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) finished with 13 points, four assists, and three rebounds.
- Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas) tallied nine points and five steals while Corey McGhee (Alexandria, Va.) added seven points and five assists.
- Eastern Nazarene posted a field-goal percentage of 49.3% on the evening and connected on 14-of-28 from three-point territory.
- Gordon shot 50% from the floor and 36% from beyond the arc in the game.
- Michael Makiej paced the Fighting Scots with a game-best 34 points and 12 rebounds while Garrett Satttazahn and Bryce Smith both scored 17 points.
