QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball head coach Jim Aller has announced the addition of J.D. Lyle to the program's incoming class. Lyle becomes the first member of the Lions' class of 2019.
A 6-foot-2 forward hailing from Middleton, Idaho, Lyle recently graduated from Middleton High School and plans to major in civil engineering at Eastern Nazarene.
Lyle earned All-Southern Idaho Conference second team accolades and All-Academic honors while suiting up for the Vikings.
He averaged a team-high 10.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per contest as a senior while shooting 46.9% from the field and from behind the arc.
Lyle helped Middleton to a 16-10 overall record in 2014-15 and a berth to the Idaho 4A State Tournament.
"I'm really excited about the opportunity to come in and be a part of a great program at Eastern Nazarene College," said Lyle. "I never really thought I would go so far away from home, but everything about the school and the team seemed to fit me perfectly. I can't wait to become a part of the Lion family."
The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team posted a 22-5 overall record last season and finished third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with a league mark of 14-4. The Lions reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament semifinals for the second time in past three seasons.
