Jamie Carey, Briley Seiter Garner All-NECC Second Team Honors; Andres Medina Named to NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Graduate students Jamie Carey (Amherst, Mass.) and Briley Seiter (Bellevue, Ky.) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team have been selected to the All-New England Collegiate Conference second team, announced the league office Thursday. Sophomore Andres Medina (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) was also tabbed to the NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team.

Carey started a pair of games on the bump and made one relief outing during the season. He compiled a 1-2 record with two complete games while fanning 17 batters in 16 innings.

Seiter, an All-NECC third team performer in 2019, started two contests on the mound and made one relief appearance in the 2021 campaign. He worked 12.2 innings and finished with a 1-0 record and 13 strikeouts. In his lone league start on the hill, Seiter tossed a complete game and fanned five to lead the Lions to a 2-1 win over Elms.

Medina saw action in three contests this spring and chipped in with one base knock and one run scored.

Eastern Nazarene concluded the spring with a 7-9 overall record and a 1-3 mark in conference competition.
