Ryan Sharkey Garners NECC Baseball Pitcher of the Week Accolades

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Junior Ryan Sharkey (Salisbury, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pitcher of the Week, announced the league office Monday.

Sharkey picked up his first win of the season on the mound as the Lions rallied for an 8-7 walk-off win over St. Joseph's (Maine) in the first game of a doubleheader. The junior right-hander hurled 4.2 scoreless innings of relief in his first outing of the season and posted 10 strikeouts while scattering just two hits.

Eastern Nazarene sports a 1-3 overall record and returns to the diamond March 18 to host Bridgewater State in a non-league clash.
