
Rojas, Gonzalez Garner NAC Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards
WATERVILLE, Maine- Graduate student Sofia Rojas (Medellin, Colombia) and freshman Pamela Gonzalez (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team have been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Co-Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, announced the league office Tuesday. The duo collected NAC weekly honors for the second-straight week.
Rojas posted five wins to help the Lions notch three victories on the week. She earned three wins at the No. 1 singles spot and claimed two wins at the top doubles position.
On the season, Rojas sports a 10-0 record in singles matches and a 7-3 mark in doubles play.
Gonzalez collected four victories to help the Lions capture two wins on the week. She earned a pair of wins at the No. 2 singles slot and claimed two victories at the top doubles position.
This fall, Gonzalez sports a 5-1 record in singles action and a 5-2 mark in doubles matches.
Eastern Nazarene owns a 8-2 overall record and finished with a 5-0 mark in the North Atlantic Conference. The Lions clinched the top seed in the NAC Tournament and will face No. 4 seed Thomas in the NAC semifinals September 30 at Husson University.
