DUDLEY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team fell on the road at Nichols 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Lions sink to 4-5-0 on the year and 0-3-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Bison improve to 4-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in league competition with the victory.
The visitors produced six shots while the home side attempted eight shots in a scoreless first half.
Nichols got on the board in the 65th minute to nab a 1-0 edge. Nicole Gidley headed in her second goal of the season off of a cross by Kaylin Goncalves.
The Bison scored a pair of insurances goal in close succession in the 76th minute to push their lead to 3-0. Danielle Berry buried her third marker of the season after combining with Taylor Souza for a give-and-go passing sequence.
The hosts added their third tally of the match just 21 seconds later as Souza found the back of the net for the sixth time this fall while Lauren MacGray setup the score with a threaded through-ball.
Eastern Nazarene finished with 15 shots on the day while Nichols registered 17 attempts.
Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) fired a team-high four shots while Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) and Kyndall Fry (Tampa, Fla.) each attempted three in the game.
Senior Kyera Bryant (Guilford, Conn.) made nine saves between the pipes for the Lions.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene returns home to take on UMass-Dartmouth October 4 at Creedon Field.
