Women’s Basketball Stymied at Wesleyan (Conn.)
MIDDLETOWN, Conn.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team dropped a midweek matchup at Wesleyan (Conn.) 63-29 Wednesday evening.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wesleyan raced out to a 22-5 lead after one quarter of action.
- The Cardinals outscored the Lions 15-6 in the second period to widen their halftime advantage to 37-11.
- The home side managed 13 points in the third frame while the visitors chalked up seven points as Wesleyan carried a 50-18 lead into the final quarter.
- The Cardinals edged Eastern Nazarene 13-11 in fourth-quarter scoring to roll to their second-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) tallied a team-high 12 points to go with three rebounds and two steals.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) recorded five points, seven boards, and four assists.
- Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.) and Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) both finished with seven rebounds and two points on the night.
- Eastern Nazarene was limited to 20.3% shooting from the floor and just 2-for-27 from three-point territory.
- Wesleyan posted a field-goal percentage of 33.8% while connecting on 1-of-17 from beyond the arc.
- Tori DaCosta paced the Cardinals with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Olivia Quinn added 10 points off the bench.
