Olaveson, Bruner Garner NECC Softball Weekly Accolades

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Senior Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.) and freshman Morgan Bruner (Litchfield, N.H.) of the Eastern Nazarene College softball team earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, announced the league office Monday.

Olaveson collected a base hit, RBI, and scored a run in all eight games as the Lions opened the 2023 campaign in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She registered 17 hits, 16 RBIs and 10 runs scored on the week. Olaveson belted three home runs and roped four doubles while also picking up a stolen base.

Bruner threw 14.0 innings and recorded seven strikeouts in her first three collegiate pitching appearances.  

Eastern Nazarene sports a 4-4 overall record and travels to Gordon March 18.
