Jennelle Munoz Earns Second NECC Softball Pitcher of the Week Nod

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Jennelle Munoz (Lake Elsinore, Calif.) of the Eastern Nazarene College softball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, announced the league office Monday.

Munoz made two starts in the pitcher's circle and three relief appearances on the week. She spun a pair of complete games and racked up a 3-0 record with one save. In 23.0 innings of work, Munoz fanned 12 batters while allowing just two walks.

This spring, Munoz leads the league with a 12-9 record in the pitcher's circle and ranks second in the conference with 83 strikeouts.

Eastern Nazarene sports an 18-16 overall record with a 6-2 mark in conference competition. The Lions are slated to host Gordon April 26 in the final regular-season contests.
