Men’s Volleyball Secures 3-0 Victory at Sage
ALBANY, N.Y. - The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team notched a 3-0 win at Sage Saturday afternoon to pick up its first New England Volleyball Conference victory.
THE BASICS:
Score: Eastern Nazarene 3, Sage 0
Records: Lions (10-5, 1-1 NEVC) | Gators (4-12, 0-3 NEVC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The visitors claimed the opening set 25-16 to establish a 1-0 edge.
- Eastern Nazarene doubled its lead to 2-0 with a 25-17 decision in the second frame.
- The Lions edged the Gators 25-22 in the third to cap off their first conference victory of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) posted a match-best 11 kills to go with four digs.
- Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with eight kills, eight digs, and a pair of service aces.
- Ian Pacheco (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) chipped in with seven kills and Nathan Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) added nine digs.
- Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) registered 31 assists on the afternoon.
- Jarod Martel led Sage with seven kills while Dylan Fox contributed with six kills.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Eastern Nazarene returns home to face SUNY Poly March 15 in a New England Volleyball Conference clash.
