Delfy Soler Repeats as NECC Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the second-straight week, announced the league office Monday.
Soler racked up 49 kills, 17 digs, six total blocks, and three service aces as the Lions posted a 3-1 record on the week.
He posted 14 kills to go with four digs and two blocks as Eastern Nazarene dropped a 3-1 decision to Lasell before notching 14 kills, four digs, two blocks, and one ace in the Lions' five-set victory over Regis.
Soler tallied 15 kills, six digs, and two aces as Eastern Nazarene rolled past Northern Vermont-Johnson 3-0 in non-conference action. He capped off the week with six kills, three digs, and a pair of blocks as the Lions blanked Mount Saint Vincent 3-0.
This season, Soler ranks second in the conference with 125 kills and 3.68 kills-per-set. He has also collected 49 digs, 14 total blocks, and 10 service aces on the year.
Eastern Nazarene sports a 6-3 overall record and returns to the court February 4 as it heads to Colby-Sawyer.
