MILTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Curry Friday evening.
The Lions dive to 0-10-0 on the season and 0-4-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Colonels improve to 7-5-1 overall and 2-2-0 in league competition with the result.
The two sides battled to a scoreless first half with the home team holding a 7-4 edge in shots.
Curry netted the eventual game-winner in the 80th minute as Eric Miller buried a feed from Giancarlo Orsini to pick up his second goal of the year.
Eastern Nazarene pressed late in search of an equalizer and nearly got on the board in the 88th minute but Connor Hudson-Bryant (Weymouth, Mass.) drilled a shot off the crossbar.
The Lions finished with nine shots on the night while the Colonels racked up 27 attempts.
Rookie goalkeeper Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) turned away a season-high 15 saves in an impressive outing between the pipes.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene returns home to square off against Salve Regina October 10.
