Men’s Lacrosse Drops Midweek Contest at MCLA
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-4 setback at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Wednesday afternoon.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home team netted four goals in the opening quarter to claim a 4-0 lead.
- MCLA notched five goals in the second period while Eastern Nazarene managed one goal as the Trailblazers touted a 9-1 advantage at the halftime break.
- The Lions picked up a pair of tallies in the third while MCLA chalked up three goals to extend its lead to 12-3 heading into the final frame.
- The hosts outscored the visitors 4-1 in the fourth quarter to lock up a 16-4 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jamar Griggs (Stamford, Conn.) notched a hat-trick for the second consecutive game, finishing with three goals and two ground balls.
- Andrew James (Hyannis, Mass.) tallied one goal and added one assist.
- Devano Clarke (Lucea, Jamaica) dished out a pair of assists on the day while scooping four ground balls.
- Matt Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) paced the Lions with nine ground balls and six shots on goal.
- Xavier Depina (Whitman, Mass.) finished with five ground balls while Kellen Lee (Henderson, Nev.) added three ground balls and a team-high three caused turnovers.
- Walter Stockwell (Hyde Park, Mass.) recorded 16 saves in his second start of the season between the posts.
- Eastern Nazarene manufactured 31 shots while MCLA concluded the contest with 45 attempts.
- Nathan Haley led the Trailblazers with four goals and one assist while Boden Dock scored three goals and added one assist.
