Francis Ferguson Tabbed NAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

WATERVILLE, Maine- Senior Francis Ferguson (Jefferson, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team collected his second North Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week nod of the spring, announced the league office Monday.

Ferguson tossed a complete game as the Lions topped SUNY Canton 9-1. In seven innings of work, he notched nine strikeouts while scattering just three hits and one unearned run. With his seventh strikeout of the game in the top of the sixth inning, Ferguson recorded his 200th career strikeout.

This season, Ferguson has started 10 games on the mound and owns a 6-3 record with a 2.95 ERA. He leads the conference with 61.0 innings pitched and 90 strikeouts.

Eastern Nazarene wrapped up the regular season with a 12-19-1 overall record and a 9-6 mark in league action. The Lions clinched a spot in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament and will face top-seeded Husson in the opening contest.
