Boynton Fans 14 as Baseball Tops Rivier 6-1
NASHUA, N.H.- Behind a 14-strikeout performance by Spencer Boynton (Tampa, Fla.), the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team posted a 6-1 victory at Rivier Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene tallied one run in the top of the second inning to seize a 1-0 lead. Frank Landeiro (Orlando, Fla.) crossed the dish as Anderson Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.) reached base on an error.
- The Lions plated one run in the fifth to double their advantage to 2-0. Tyler Bean (Wellington, Fla.) tagged up and motored home from third base on a sacrifice fly by Frank Landeiro (Orlando, Fla.).
- Rivier got on the board in the bottom of the seventh to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- Eastern Nazarene chalked up three runs in the eighth to widen the gap to 5-1. Brandon Guerrero (Boston, Mass.) raked a two-out single up the middle to drive in Kelvin Cortez (Corona, N.Y.). Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Brandon Guerrero (Boston, Mass.) both scored as Tyler Bean (Wellington, Fla.) reached on a defensive miscue.
- The visitors added a run in the ninth to stretch their advantage to 6-1. Shane McNamara (Londonderry, N.H.) crossed the dish as Brandon Guerrero (Boston, Mass.) reached first base on an error.
