Eastern Nazarene College welcomes Janet P. Judge, one of the nation's top sports law attorneys, to campus on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Judge's past presentations have covered a variety of topics including: gender equity, Title IX, social networking, hazing, and leadership.
While at ENC, Judge will address the implications of social networking and the dangers of cyber-bullying. The 7 pm event will be held in the Ruth Cameron Auditorium at the Mann Student Center. The Eastern Nazarene College Athletics Department is sponsoring the sports law expert's visit. The highly sought-after and ever engaging Judge, will enlighten the ENC community about the current state of social networking among college students. Judge will share timely and pertinent information about social networking, cyber-bullying, and consequences that accompany the seemingly free-for-all technology.
Judge, a former student-athlete and graduate of Harvard University, was an eight-time varsity letter winner in soccer, basketball and track & field. Her Crimson soccer teams made three NCAA Tournament appearances. After college, Judge served as an Assistant Director of Athletics at Harvard and then went on to earn a law degree. While attending Boston University Law School, Judge coached both basketball and soccer at Simmons College. Later, Judge worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Norman H. Stahl, United States Court of Appeals.
Judge frequently advises, educates and trains students, faculty and staff at campuses across all three NCAA Divisions. Additionally, Judge is a perennial presenter at both NCAA and NACWAA sponsored conventions and conferences. Janet Judge is President of Sports Law Associates LLC.
