Eastern Nazarene Set to Induct Six into Carroll F. Bradley Hall of Fame
QUINCY, Mass.- Six former Eastern Nazarene College standout student-athletes will be enshrined in the Carroll F. Bradley Hall of Fame during the 2018 Homecoming festivities October 12-13. The inductees will be honored at the Alumni Celebration Friday, October 12 at the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene and Saturday, October 13 at the Lahue Physical Education Center at 9:00 am.
Jeremy Anderson '97, Michael Barefoot '78, Gary Calhoun '75, Melissa Christmas '00, Mark Millane '88, and AJ Turner '07 comprise the 11th Carroll F. Bradley Hall of Fame class.
Anderson played baseball at Eastern Nazarene from 1994-97. He earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference first team honors as a sophomore and senior and claimed All-CCC second team accolades as a freshman and junior.
Anderson holds the program's career home run record with 15 and also posted the program's highest single-season batting average as a senior with a .483.
He ranks second in program history with 93 career RBIs and 29 career doubles while also ranking third all-time with six triples and a .375 career batting average. Anderson also ranks in the top-10 in program history with 85 career runs scored and 128 career base hits.
Barefoot was a member of the Crusaders' men's basketball team from 1974-78. He ranks fifth in program history with 1,773 career points.
Barefoot was named to the NCCAA All-America second team as a senior and was an All-King's Tournament honoree twice.
Calhoun played on the men's soccer team from 1971-74. He was named a Seaboard First Team All-Star as a junior and collected All-CISC honors as a senior.
Christmas was a member of the women's basketball team from 1996-2000. She is the only player in program history to be named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year, earning the award as a senior.
Christmas was selected to the All-CCC first team as a junior and senior after garnering second team honors as a freshman. She ranks sixth in program history with 1,051 career points.
Christmas helped the Crusaders reach the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament championship game in 1998 and guided the team to the 2000 CCC Championship en route to advancing to the NCAA Tournament "Sweet Sixteen".
Millane was a member of the men's basketball program from 1984-87 and ranks fourth in school history with 1,940 career points. He was named to the King's Tournament All-Tournament first team in 1985, 1986, and 1987.
Turner was a four-year member of the baseball team from 2004-07. He helped the Crusaders reach the Commonwealth Coast Conference playoffs in all four seasons, including a trip to the CCC Finals in 2005 and the ECAC Quarterfinals in 2004.
The Crusaders compiled 86 victories over his four-year career and posted three 20-win seasons. His four years on the team are the four highest single-season win totals in program history. In Turner's rookie season, Eastern Nazarene grabbed 28 wins to set the program record.
Turner was voted the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Year in 2004 and earned All-CCC second team the same year. He was selected to the All-CCC first team as a junior and senior.
Turner holds program records with 135 career runs scored, 120 career stolen bases, and 178 career hits. He also owns the single-season record with 59 base hits as a freshman along with the top three single-season stolen base totals.
A total of 35 individuals and six teams have been inducted into the Carroll F. Bradley Hall of Fame since its inception in 1994.
