Cross Country Teams Run at James Earley Invitational
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the James Earley Invitational Saturday hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park.
Elizabeth Gillis (Westford, Mass.) paced the Lions' women's cross country squad with a personal-best time of 25:37.1 on the 5K course.
Clara Garcia Sosa (West Valley City, Utah), Jordyn Fitch (Piscataway, N.J.), Giliana Silva, and Hannah Kee (Ansan, South Korea) also raced for Eastern Nazarene at the meet.
Ian Pacheco (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) led the men's cross country team with a mark of 34:34.4 in the 8K race.
Ryan Polsgrove (Elkhart, Ind.) crossed the finish line in 35:51.1 while Joseph Merrigan (Quincy, Mass.) clocked in with a time of 38:52.1.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will participate in the Suffolk Invitational October 16 at Franklin Park.
