Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at Roger Williams Invitational
BRISTOL, R.I.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team started the season with a fifth-place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational Friday afternoon at Colt State Park.
Rookie Rodelina Kingsley (Lawrence, Mass.) paced the Lions with a time of 13:23.21 to grab sixth.
Jael Bourque (Nashua, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 15:23.65 to claim 37th.
Katherine Sautter (Quincy, Mass.) posted a time of 16:31.21 while Elizabeth Gillis (Westford, Mass.) clocked in with a mark of 16:45.50 in her first collegiate race.
Makayla Grantham (Appalachian, N.Y.) and Josselyn Mata (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) also represented Eastern Nazarene at the meet.
Salve Regina claimed the team title while Roger Williams' Sarah Mawdsley bested the field with a time of 12:37.69.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will race at the UMass-Dartmouth Corsair Invitational September 15.
