Women’s Cross Country Claims 10th at Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational
WENHAM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team placed 10th at the 45th annual Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Lions finished ahead of Pine Manor with a team score of 245.
Jael Bourque (Nashua, N.H.) paced Eastern Nazarene with a time of 23:55 to claim 39th place overall.
Dezirae Maffit (Aurora, Ill.) finished with a mark of 25:13 while Noelle Rudeen (San Gabriel, Calif.) crossed the finish line in 27:59.
Eileen Hernandez (Rochester, N.Y.) posted a time of 29:02 and Rachel Venable (Brewer, Maine) turned in a mark of 29:24.
Sarah Iheduru (Providence, R.I.) also competed for the Lions and finished with a personal best time.
The University of New England took home the team crown after garnering the top three finishers, including individual champion Brittney Sorbello with a time of 18:42.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete in the Massachusetts Maritime Invitational October 1.
