Women’s Cross Country Earns13th at Western New England Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College cross country teams participated in the Western New England Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The women's squad was led by Ami Curtis (East Montpelier, Mass.) who claimed 10th with a time of 19:53.25. Taylor Corbin (Honesdale, Pa.) clocked in with a mark of 23:07.18 while Amy Cornell (Bolton, Conn.) crossed the finish line in 24:37.53.
Collectively, the Lions captured 13th place in the women's race.
A total of 212 runners representing 23 institutions raced in the women's 5K race.
On the men's side, Charles Brecht (Pennsville, N.J.) posted a mark of 32:56.59 to pace the Lions. Michael O'Brien (Manchester, Maine) clocked in with a time of 33:51.12 in the men's 8K event.
A total of 204 runners from 21 schools competed in the men's race Saturday.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene closes out the fall at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships hosted by Western New England University October 27.
