Bio

Kathryn Hart is entering her third year as the head coach of the Lady Lions Volleyball team. Born and raised in the state of Texas, sports have always played an influential role in her life.

“My goal is to help each player grow in their Christian walk while striving to be excellent students and outstanding volleyball players.”

Hart’s most successful season at ENC came in the fall of 2011 as she guided the Lions to their best record since 2008, an 11-17 overall mark. The 2011 campaign was capped off with Birdina Tuiava receiving All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honorable mention.

Prior to her time at ENC, she spent two years as an assistant coach at Springfield College in Springfield, MA, while earning a M.Ed. in Sport Management. While at Springfield, Hart helped lead the volleyball program to a conference championship and a berth into the NCAA tournament. While coaching at Springfield, Hart was also the head coach of the 16-High Performance volleyball team with Husky Juniors. Hart also coaches players at volleyball camps throughout New England, most notably, the University of Connecticut.

Hart was a collegiate volleyball player at Belhaven College (Jackson, MS) where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration. Hart holds records for career blocks and kills at Belhaven and won numerous NAIA all-conference and all-region awards as a middle blocker.

Hart currently lives near ENC in Quincy, MA.
