More About Coach Schmitt…

• Led ENC to back-to-back-to-back NECC championships and NCAA Tournament berths in 2019, 2021, and 2022.
• Guided ENC to a remarkable 23-2 record in 2022, including a 15-0 record at home.
• Guided the Lions to a 20-7 overall record, a share of the NECC regular-season title, and a trip to the NECC Championship match in 2018.
• Second-ever men’s volleyball head coach and ninth women’s volleyball head coach in school history.
• Coached the ENC women’s volleyball team from 2002-04, leading the Crusaders to three-consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinal appearances.
• Guided NCAA Division I California Baptist to 22 wins in two seasons, including eight victories in the highly-talented Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with the likes of UCLA and USC.
• Started the men’s volleyball program at Erskine College and guided the Flying Fleet to a 13-16 record in their first year.
• In Erskine’s second season of competition, Schmitt led the team to a 21-7 record to go with a Conference Carolinas Championship and a NCAA National Tournament berth.
• Served as Assistant Director of Athletics and Sports Information Director during his tenure at Southern Wesleyan Unversity.
• Coached the ENC men’s volleyball club team for six years after graduating from ENC in 1995.
• Married to Monique Schmitt and has one daughter: Annika.
