Bio
Alexis Miranda is entering her eighth year as the assistant
coach with the Lions volleyball program. She began her unofficial
coaching career during high school while assisting with the local
middle school volleyball program, as well as working at several
camps during the summer. She also currently coaches with the Mass
Patriots Volleyball Club Program, where she played for five years,
and is preparing to enter her 11th coaching season in the spring.
Through her position with the Mass Patriots Volleyball Club she has
obtained her IMPACT and CAP 1 Coaching Certification and has been
an active coach at various volleyball camps in the Boston area
since 1998.
Miranda played at North Quincy High School for four years, during
which time the team finished as Central Sectional Champions on
three occasions and State Finalists twice. During her time at North
Quincy, she received several awards including Patriot
Ledger All-Scholastic, Pilgrim Conference All-Star, and Mass
Volleyball Coaches Association Team - Honorable Mention during her
senior year. She also participated in the Bay State Games as a
member of the women’s volleyball Metro team in 1997 and
1998.
Miranda then attended Susquehanna University and played on the
women's volleyball team before transferring to Colby-Sawyer College
where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in Psychology. During her
time at Colby-Sawyer, she played on the women's volleyball team for
2 seasons and finished 2nd in the CCC her junior year.
Miranda currently resides in Weymouth, MA.
