Women’s Volleyball’s Eliana Baran Garners NEWVA All-Region Third Team Accolades

BEVERLY, Mass.- Sophomore Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team earned a spot on the New England Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (NEWVA) All-New England third team, announced the organization one week ago.

Baran repeated as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Year and claimed All-NECC honors for the second-straight season. This fall, she ranked sixth in NCAA Division III with 4.46 kills-per-set while pacing the conference with 299 kills. Baran also notched 101 digs, 31 total blocks, and 25 serivce aces this season.

Eastern Nazarene finished the 2022 campaign with an astounding 23-2 overall record. The Lions posted a 6-0 mark in New England Collegiate Conference competition to lock up the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the NECC Tournament.

After cruising past Lesley 3-0 in the semifinals, Eastern Nazarene defeated New England College 3-1 to clinch its third-straight NECC Championship. The Lions made their third-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and fell to No. 15 Wesleyan in the opening round.
