Women’s Volleyball Powers Past Maine-Presque Isle, 3-0, in Season-Opener

QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team collected a 3-0 victory over Maine-Presque Isle as part of the ENC Invitational Friday night at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home team rolled to a 25-11 win in the first set to capture a 1-0 advantage.
- Eastern Nazarene widened the gap to 2-0 with a 25-9 decision in the second frame.
- The Lions locked up their first victory of the season with a 25-19 win in the third.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Rookie Sierra Troyer (Milford, Del.) posted a match-high nine kills in her collegiate debut to go with seven digs and two blocks.
- Halle Julian (Whitman, Mass.) notched eight kills while Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) added seven kills.
- Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) dished out 19 assists and dealt four service aces.
- Amya Altman (Butler, Pa.) tied her career-high of seven aces on the night while racking up a team-best 10 digs.
