Ruth Aguilar Named NECC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team has been tabbed the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, announced the league office Monday.
Aguilar notched 23 kills, 17 digs, 23 assists, and four aces to lead the Lions to a pair of conference victories.
She posted her third triple-double of the year as Eastern Nazarene blanked Becker 3-0. She racked up 15 kills, 13 assists, and 17 digs in the win while also adding a block.
Aguilar tallied 10 assists, eight kills, seven digs, and four service aces in the Lions' 3-0 victory at Dean.
Aguilar leads the conference with 3.85 kills-per-set and ranks second with 204 total kills and a .289 hitting percentage.
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 12-5 overall record with a 5-0 mark in the NECC. The Lions return to the court October 24 as they travel to "The Ocean State" to square off against Salve Regina.
