Ruth Aguilar Collects Third-Straight NECC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week Nod
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for the third-consecutive week, announced the league office Monday.
Aguilar averaged 12.0 kills, 8.5 digs, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 service aces to help the Lions to a 1-1 record on the week.
In Eastern Nazarene's 3-1 loss at Rivier, she notched 12 kills and nine digs to go with one ace.
Aguilar wrapped up the week with 12 kills, eight digs, a pair of blocks, and one service ace to lead the Lions to a 3-0 victory over Mitchell to start conference play.
This season, Aguilar paces the conference with 4.26 kills per set and 145 total kills. She has also registered 103 digs, 35 assists, 15 service aces, and nine total blocks this fall.
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 7-4 overall record with a 1-0 mark in the NECC. The Lions return to the court September 27 as they travel to Elms for a pivotal conference clash.
