Women’s Volleyball Falls to Rivier 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team absorbed a 3-0 loss to Rivier Thursday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions move to 10-4 on the year with the result while the Raiders improve to 15-5 overall.
Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) finished with a team-high eight kills, eight assists, and three digs. Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) posted five kills and nine digs on the night. Milica Ivanovic (Podgorica, Montenegro) added five kills while Samantha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) registered nine assists. Jessica Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) tallied 11 digs to lead the team defensively.
The visitors established a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-20 win in the opening set.
Rivier doubled its advantage to 2-0 after capturing the second frame 25-18.
The Raiders locked up their 10th-straight victory with a 25-16 decision in the third.
Taylor Dunster paced all players with 18 kills and 13 digs while Hayley Macken notched 36 assists.
