BEVERLY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses Saturday afternoon in a tri-match at Endicott. The Lions dropped a 3-1 decision to the host Gulls in a conference clash before absorbing a 3-0 setback to Rivier in a non-league tilt.
The Lions finish the season with an 11-19 overall record and a 1-8 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls improve to 18-9 on the year and 8-1 in league action while the Raiders climb to 19-10 overall.
Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) notched 18 kills and 13 digs on the day. Jenna Meacham (Millington, Mich.) posted 16 digs, 11 kills, and four aces in the two matches. Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) tallied nine kills while Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.) registered 43 assists and 12 digs. Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) collected 18 digs while Madisen Robinson (West Grove, Pa.) finished with 12 digs.
In its opening match of the day, Eastern Nazarene fell to Endicott 3-1.
The Gulls raced out to a 2-0 lead after capturing the first two sets 25-10 and 25-6.
The Lions clawed back with a 25-23 win in the third game to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The hosts capped off their eighth conference victory of the season with a narrow 25-23 decision in the fourth.
Eastern Nazarene wrapped up the afternoon with a closely-contested 3-0 loss to Rivier.
The Raiders prevailed 25-18 in the first frame to establish a 1-0 advantage.
Rivier clipped the Lions 27-25 in the second to widen the margin to 2-0.
The Raiders outlasted Eastern Nazarene in the third 30-28 to lock up the non-conference victory.
