Women’s Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to Wentworth on Senior Night
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team fell to Wentworth 3-0 Tuesday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
Prior to the start of the match, the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball program recognized its three seniors and a graduate student playing in their final home contest: Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.), Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.), Madisen Robinson (West Grove, Pa.), and Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.).
The Lions move to 10-17 on the year and 1-7 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Leopards improve to 24-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play with the win.
Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) paced the hosts with 11 kills on the night while adding five digs. Dean notched 19 assists and six digs. Joseph finished with four kills in the match while Robinson posted a season-high 10 digs.
The visitors captured the opening set 25-14 to gain a 1-0 advantage.
Wentworth widened the gap to 2-0 after cruising to a 25-7 victory in the second frame.
The Leopards prevailed 25-13 in the third to return to the win column.
Leah Rogoz registered 11 kills to lead Wentworth and Claire Quick chipped in with 10 kills.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene ventures to Massachusetts Maritime Academy October 25 for a non-conference matchup.
