Women’s Volleyball Receives CCC Team Sportsmanship Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team earned the Commonwealth Coast Conference Team Sportsmanship Award for the second year in a row and the fourth time in program history, announced the league office Monday.
The Lions shared the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award with Nichols College, following the Bison's first year of competition.
Eastern Nazarene finished the 2016 campaign with a 6-17 overall record and a 1-8 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference in head coach Kaylee Hewitt's first season.
Senior Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) paced the Lions with 130 kills and 22 total blocks. Lauryl Berger (Laurel, Del.) dished out 414 assists on the season while Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) registered a team-high 216 digs this fall.
