BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Wentworth Saturday afternoon.
The Lions dip to 5-16 on the season and 1-7 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the setback. The Leopards improve to 22-3 overall and 5-2 in league play with the win.
Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) collected a team-high seven kills on the day while Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) notched five kills and six digs. Lauryl Berger (Laurel, Del.) paced the squad with 15 assists, eight digs and a pair of blocks in the match. Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.) finished with seven digs, two kills, two aces and two assists.
The home team prevailed in the first set 25-19 to grab a 1-0 lead.
Wentworth doubled its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-15 win in the second game.
The Leopards claimed the third frame 25-18 to clinch their ninth victory in a row.
